Should I use a credit card for Diwali shopping?

Yes only if you will clear the full statement before interest starts. Rewards and EMI offers look attractive, but revolving balances at 35%+ annualised erase any festive cashback.

How much should a household set aside for festivals?

A practical range is 1–2 months of discretionary spend, planned from August–September salary. If income is irregular, use a three-month average and cap gifts before you browse.

What if I already overspent last festive season?

List leftover EMI and card balances first, freeze new non-essential swipes, and run a short avalanche payoff before next year’s festivals. Automate a small monthly festival sinking fund from October onward.

How does Spendzie help during festival months?

Bank SMS already logs UPI, card, and EMI spikes. Reviewing those categories mid-season shows where the budget is drifting — food delivery, marketplaces, or fuel — before the month ends.
