How does the SBI Card Tanishq offer work for Dhanteras 2026?

From 2 to 8 November 2026, SBI Card gives a flat ₹4,000 instant discount on Tanishq bills of ₹1 lakh to ₹2.49 lakh and ₹7,500 on ₹2.5 lakh and above, one transaction per card. Cashback SBI, Paytm SBI, Eternal SBI and corporate cards are excluded, and reward points on the transaction are forfeited.

Can I convert a gold jewellery purchase on my credit card to EMI?

Generally no. RBI told banks in November 2012 not to finance gold purchases in any form, and issuers such as HDFC Bank exclude gold and jewellery from EMI conversion.

Which credit cards give no rewards on jewellery?

Under issuer terms we read on 3 November 2026: Axis Ace, Airtel Axis, Cashback SBI, Amazon Pay ICICI and Swiggy HDFC exclude jewellery or precious metals from rewards. Check your own card's current terms.

Can I stack card rewards on an SBI jeweller offer?

No. SBI Card's offer terms say reward points earned on offer-eligible transactions are forfeited, so you get the discount or cashback but not your usual points.

Are jeweller 'up to 40% off' offers on the gold price?

No. As reported, these discounts are on making charges, and the maximum usually applies only to selected designs or larger bills. Compare the final invoice.
